A TRENDY BOUTIQUE LOCATED ON THE SQUARE IN SAN MARCOS, TX
Welcome to my first blog post! Today I am excited to share with you a little bit about one of my personal favorite boutiques, Pitaya, located in San Marcos. I did some research to discover how many store locations they have and found out that they only have 16 different locations in the nation. I am fond at shopping at places with few locations because it offers a more of a “one of a kind” feeling when compared to larger retail chains such as Forever21 which has hundreds of locations all over the U.S.
When shopping at PITAYA, something I enjoy in particular is that their merchandise layout is visually appealing to the eye! The clothing sections are organized by different color schemes which allows the store’s shopping environment to be very bright and orderly!
DENIM & SKIRTS
Pitaya’s merchandise is good quality and you truly get your money’s worth in my opinion! They sell both denim jeans & shorts in various washes: light, dark, white, & black! I noticed that most of the jeans they sell are distressed with rips and tears which is very in style at the moment! They also offer many skirts in various different colors and styles! Their skirt offerings come in various textiles including everything from leather to cotton along with embellishments on some skirts such as fringe or animal prints for example!
FOR DENIM & SKIRTS YOU COULD EXPECT TO PAY AROUND $30-$50 DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU CHOOSE!
TOPS & DRESSES
I love Pitaya’s tops & dresses selections as well! As far as tops, given that it is February (and we live in Texas), they sell a variety such as fuzzy sweaters, crop tops, long sleeved tops, & short sleeved tops! I also really like the merchandise they carry as far as dresses because they carry both casual and dresses that are a bit more semi-formal for special occasions!

& FOR DRESSES PRICING IS ROUGHLY AROUND $50
STORE ATMOSPHERE
Pitaya’s store atmosphere is bright and well-lit which makes the shopping experience more relaxed and fun! Since their merchandise is organized by color scheme, it allows the store to look clean and not too overwhelming! Also, the employees of the store were friendly and engaging with myself and other shoppers by asking customers if they were looking for something specific and helping with any questions you may have!
Near the back of the store is where you can find Pitaya’s discounted merchandise, and, the thing I like about it is that their clearance section is actually a pretty decent size! I also really enjoyed that the store has five dressing rooms which is convenient so the rooms don’t get filled up! The dressing rooms were well lit and had full sized mirrors which I think is essential to make sure a piece of clothing looks right for you!
